When they left off last fall, the Blazers were a first place team with an undefeated season. During the off season the boys moved up a few divisions and were expecting a more competitive game against Stony Brook. Their expectations were realized as play began but the Blazers were able to maintain possession during most of the first half.
Unfortunately, despite playing well, Stony Brook was up 2-0 by halftime.
Garden City came back during the second half when Joey Trapasso scored, making it a 2-1 game. Stony Brook added another goal, made some great defensive plays and was able to prevent the Blazers from scoring again which left the Blazers with a 3-1 loss.
The boys will face a very tough schedule as the season continues with a game against Hewlett Lawrence this Saturday, March 25th at Nassau Haven.
