Moms and daughters enjoyed spending time together. What does a stray dog named Winn-Dixie and a pigeon named Nipper have in common with the Garden City Public Library? Winn-Dixie and Nipper were the subjects of books discussed at the library's first-ever Mother/Daughter Tea and Book Discussion and Father/Son Book Discussion.

Moms and daughters discussed "Because of Winn-Dixie," by Kate DiCamillo, while fathers and sons discussed "Wringer," by Jerry Spinelli. In addition to the thought-provoking discussions, there were refreshments and special raffles.
