Valentines For Vets
 Hempstead Town Councilman Edward Ambrosino (center) gathers with students at the Stewart Elementary School in Garden City for their Valentines for Vets program. In 2001, the Town of Hempstead instituted the Valentines for Vets program, whereby young students create valentines to send to hospitalized veterans, who appreciate the children's recognition of the sacrifices they made for our nation. |
