Cathedral Choirs In Concert
As part of its "Music in the Cathedral" concert series, the combined choirs of the Cathedral of the Incarnation will present an afternoon of choral masterworks from the Renaissance to the present day, including anthems and motets for Lent. The concert will take place Sunday, April 2 at 4 pm.
Directed by Canon Musician Lawrence Tremsky, the Cathedral Choirs form one of the longest-running programs of its kind in the country. This concert includes music by Byrd, Palestrina, DiLasso, Bach, Schubert, Rheinberger, and Stanford; contemporary works by Benjamin Britten, Leo Nestor, and Herbert Sumsion; and organ music by Joseph Jongen.
The Cathedral of the Incarnation is located at 50 Cathedral Avenue, Garden City, only one block from the Garden City Station of the Long Island Rail Road.
Tickets for the concert will be available at the door, and are $15 general seating and $5 for high school and college students. Children under 13 will be admitted free.
