The Boys Varsity Swim Team competed at the Nassau County Aquatic Center for the Nassau County Championship. The Trojans placed second out of 15 teams. Sean Lane was a double winner in both the 200 and 500 freestyle events. Chris Finnegan set two school records in both the 200 individual medley and the 100 freestyle. Finnegan’s time in the medley currently places him sixth in the state. Lane, Finnegan, Brian Finnerty, Sean Hosford and Jonathan Derlath swam their races under New York State Qualifying Time. The 400 freestyle relay team of Finnegan, Hosford, Lane and Finnerty is currently ranked fourteenth in the state. The team smashed the prior Garden City High School record set in 2004 by four seconds.
