The GC Rec Women’s Platform Tennis League will be holding try-out’s for any Garden City Village resident who would like to play competitive league paddle this fall 2006.

The try-out’s will be held at the GC Comm. Park Paddle facility on Monday March 20 th and/or 21 st. If you are interested in participating, please leave a message for Sue Tarzian at the Tennis Hut at 483-2525 and she will return your call.

Attention Senior Softball Players

How would you like to feel like a "kid" again? Want to re-live the thrill of hitting a double or catching a long fly ball? If you will be 60 years old on or before December 31st, 2006, you are eligible to play senior softball this summer.

We are looking for men to try-out for our team. We are the General's who play in the Long Island Senior Softball Association, a league consisting of twenty-eight senior teams across Nassau and Suffolk counties. Our home field is conveniently located at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow.

Enjoy the camaraderie of men who want to turn back the "hands of time," enjoy friendly competition and maintain a healthful lifestyle.

Soccer Club Season Opens

April 8th

Late registrations are now being accepted for the Centennial Spring Soccer Program. Registration after January 31st will be accepted based on space and availability and is subject to a $25 late fee. The Garden City Centennial Soccer Club will be opening their spring season on Saturday, April 8. Girl’s games are scheduled for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Boys play in the afternoons from 1 to 4 p.m. The program runs for eight consecutive Saturdays with the exception of Easter and Memorial Day weekends. The season ends June 10 with Soccerfest. A full schedule can be found at www.gccentennialsoccer.org.

The program is open to girls entering Kindergarten in September through 9th grade and boys entering Kindergarten in September through 6th grade. Register by visiting the www.gccentennialsoccer.org and select the “online intramural registration” link.

Keep in mind that if you have paid by check your child will not appear until the check is received and has cleared.
