Gymnast Wins Tournament

 On January 15, Alexandra de Moura won first-place level 8 all around the Hill’s Maryland Classic Tournament. There were 18 teams that competed from the Mid-Atlantic, including Maryland, New York, North Carolina, Iowa and other states. Alexandra came in first in vault, with a score of 9.575, second in floor with a 9.400, third in bars with a score of 9.300 and she scored 9.225 on beam. Her overall score was 37.5. Alexandra is 11 years old and trains at Mid-Island Gymnastics in Hicksville. Congratulations! |
