Ladies Event:

Ladies, come relax and pamper yourself, you deserve it! Please join us at Salon Beyond, 927 Franklin Avenue, on Wednesday, February 8th at 6:30 p.m. Enjoy a night out with friends, delicious cocktails and hors d’ oeuvres from Chez Monique, and receive a special salon treatment. Choose from the following services: hair styling, facial, manicure, make-up application, massage or pedicure. Please send your checks for $32 to JaneEllen Logler at 79 Huntington Road. Note: please indicate your 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices when submitting your check.

Arts and Crafts:

Our next event, Knitting 101: will be held at Michaels on Wednesday, February 15th from 7-9 p.m. The cost of the class (excluding supplies) is $20 and will cover the basics of knitting. The supplies required are a pair of metal #9 knitting needles and one skein of worsted weight yarn, preferably light to medium in color. We look forward to learning a great skill just in time for those long winter days. Please send your checks to Christina Plastaras at 86 Pine Street. Hope to see you there.

Tennis:

Mark your calendar! We are having a Mixed Doubles Round Robin Tennis Party on Saturday, March 4th from 7:30 p.m.-10 p.m. at the community Park tennis “bubble.” Grab a partner and a racquet, and get ready to have a great time! The cost is $45 per couple, which includes court time, tennis balls, refreshments, and snacks. All levels are welcome, from beginners to advanced. If interested, please send your check to Marie Penney at 4 Prescott Street. Hurry…space is limited.

If you are new to town or currently reside in Garden City please call 775-5154 for more information regarding membership.
