AAUW To Meet

The monthly meeting of the Garden City Branch of the American Association of University Women will take place on Monday evening, February 6 at the Garden City Library. The guest speaker will be Dr. John Yanovitch, Associate Professor of Philosophy at Molloy College. His topic will be “Zen-Pathway to Serenity.” Dr. Yanovitch, an alumnus of Manhattan College with a Master’s degree and Doctorate in Philosophy from Fordham University has also had a group and private practice as a therapist and counselor for sixteen years. He is also a poet and yoga instructor. Dr. Yanovitch teachers courses in Zen, Yoga, Introductory Philosophy, History of Philosophy, Philosophy of Love, Sexual Ethics, Medical Ethics, Logic, Asiatic Philosophy and Process Philosophy. He has lectured internationally in these areas. Sylvia Ebert is chairperson of the evening which promises to very interesting.
