Parents of children entering the Garden City Primary Schools in September 2006, are asked to note the following dates on their calendar.

January 17th - 20th : Registration will take place at Hemlock School from 8:45 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 2:45 p.m. It is not necessary to bring your child to registration. Please bring the completed registration forms and required documents with you at your time of registration.

February 7th : Parents of incoming kindergarten students will be invited to the Garden City Primary School Joint Principals’ Forum . It will be an informational meeting that will address kindergarten readiness and the screening process.

April : In April, parents of incoming kindergarten students will be invited to kindergarten orientation during the month of May. This presentation will provide an overview of the kindergarten program.

May 8th - 19th : Your child will be scheduled to come to a designated location for a screening.

August : During the last week of August, you will receive your child’s class placement and other important school information.
