Free Breast Cancer Support Groups

This January, the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer program is offering new support groups for Long Island women. There is no cost for any group; however pre-registration is required. The groups meet at Adelphi University School of Social Work in Garden City. For Women Newly Diagnosed with Breast Cancer

An evening group will meet weekly for 8 weeks on Tuesdays from 7 to 8:30 pm, tentatively beginning on January 24.

For Women with Breast Cancer

A daytime group will meet weekly for 8 weeks on Thursdays from 9:30 to 11 am, tentatively beginning on January 26.

For Single Women with Breast Cancer

This group will meet weekly for 8 weeks on Wednesday evenings, tentatively beginning on January 25.

For Women with Metastatic Breast Cancer

These two ongoing weekly groups will continue meeting weekly on Tuesday evenings from 7 to 8:30 pm and on Friday mornings from 10 to 11:30 am.

Support groups for couples, spouses/partners, teens, or men with breast cancer are available upon request, as well as individual counseling.
