Hempstead Honors Brave Volunteers


Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray (left) and Receiver of Taxes Don Clavin (right) recently presented the 2005 Firematic Awards to Third Assistant Chief James Roth of Garden City is a member of the Garden City Park Fire Department. He has held every rank including EMT, EMT-CC and is currently a certified Paramedic. Assistant Chief Roth was honored for his dedication and outstanding service to the department. Ex-Chief Harold Herman of Garden City has been a member of the Garden City Fire Department for 42 years. He has served on numerous committees and is actively involved with the Nassau County Fire Service Museum.
