On December 12, 5:30 p.m., a 22-year-old St. Albans woman and a 30-year-old Jamaica woman entered Lord and Taylor and allegedly stole a camisole and tried to return it for credit. In addition, while they were standing on line, they also allegedly took another customer's shopping bag and returned those items for credit. The pair was arrested for stealing $66 in merchandise...
Between December 1 and 8, someone took 6 gift cards with a value of $105 from a file cabinet at a Seventh Street office...On December 2, someone stole a pocketbook containing $40 in U.S. currency at a second floor wedding party room at the Garden City Hotel...On December 9, 11:45 p.m., Adelphi Security stopped an 18-year-old man for allegedly stealing a bicycle valued at $300 and police later arrested the teen...PO Oswald observed a motorist driving in the wrong lane on December 10, 4:05 a.m., and arrested a 25-year-old man for alleged DWI (.12%)... Also that day, a 28-year-old Island Park woman was arrested for allegedly stealing a pair of gloves and a Ralph Lauren hat valued at $147 at Lord and Taylor...On December 11, 2:30 a.m., PO Dallolio observed a 24-year-old Hempstead man allegedly DWI (.19%) on Franklin Avenue...PO Florio arrested a 38-year-old East Hills man for allegedly speeding, making an unsafe lane change, using a cell phone without hand-free earphones, and allegedly DWI (.12%), at Franklin Avenue on December 8 at 11:35 p.m... A 32-year-old Merrick man was arrested on December 7, 10:55 a.m., after PO Matos had stopped the motorist for not having a front license plate, while drivng on Adams Street. The man had 11 suspensions on 5 dates and was charged with 2 counts of aggravated unlicensed operation second degree as well as aggravated unlicensed operation third degree and numerous traffic law violations... A 47-year-old Floral Park man was arrested after allegedly speeding at a school zone near the GC High School on December 7, 1:04 p.m. It seems the motorist had an outstanding warrant for criminal mischief stemming from an October 5 incident...
