St. Joseph students rallied to support their fellow students in the Gulf region by responding to the National Catholic Education Association's (NCEA) Child to Child campaign. Each student was asked to bring in $1 each to assist dioceses and schools damaged or destroyed by the hurricane as well as to assist those schools which opened their doors to students displaced by the catastrophe. St. Joseph School is proud to announce that its students contributed over $1,200 to the NCEA effort.

In addition, the Student Council held bake sales for three consecutive days to assist a school family who had relatives who lost their homes in the affected region. The Student Council's hard work in the kitchen and the student body's quarters spent at lunch time raised $300 for the family's relatives in need.
