This year's Interfaith Thanksgiving Service will take place at 3:30-4:30 p.m., on Sunday, November 20th. It will be held at the Church of St. Anne, 35 Dartmouth St. (near New Hyde Park Rd.) in Garden City. This annual ecumenical event is sponsored by the Garden City Clergy Fellowship (GCCF). Taking part in this service will be local clergy from Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, and other faith traditions. The preacher will be the Rev. Wanda Lawry Hughes, Pastor of the Presbyterian Church in Garden City and current President of the GCCF. The GCCF thanks Msgr. John Gilmartin, Pastor of the Roman Catholic Church of St. Anne, for hosting this worship service.

Everyone is welcome to attend this Thanksgiving event. Monetary donations will be collected during the service to benefit local food pantries that help feed the hungry. For those who wish to sing at this service, a choir rehearsal will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 20th; contact St. Anne's Music Director Timothy Brown at 352-5904. Everyone is encouraged to bring a pie to share during the fellowship/coffee hour after the service.
