ACS Holiday Announcement To Benefit Children's Cancer

Children at Camp AdventureChildren at Camp Adventure The Garden City Unit of the American Cancer Society's annual holiday custom known as the Holiday Announcement is underway. This special tradition allows you to send a holiday greeting to your friends, neighbors, and family, all while benefiting a special cause. During December, a Holiday Announcement will be printed in "The Garden City News" wishing everyone a happy and healthy holiday season from all of the families who wish to participate.

This year, the proceeds raised through the Holiday Announcement will go toward children's cancers. The American Cancer Society's Camp Adventure is a one-week overnight camp for children with cancer and their siblings, ages 6 to 18. It provides activities like any other camp, so that kids can be kids, despite dealing with cancer. Camp Adventure is just one of the ways the ACS helps children coping with cancer, and your donation will go a long way toward making a difficult time for a child and their family a little easier.
