World-renowned harpsichordist, Edward Brewer, will join the Waldorf Choral Society for its December 3rd, 2005 concert of music by J.S. Bach. Mr. Brewer will play selections from Anna Magdalena Songbook, and will join the orchestra of early-instrument players to accompany the choral masterpieces that will be sung by the Choral Society, the Waldorf School Children’s Choir and the four professional vocal soloists.

These choral groups and soloists will be combined with instrumental virtuosi known for their performances of Baroque music. As was the practice at that time, the pitch will be a half-step lower than modern pitch.

The concert will be held at the Cathedral of the Incarnation in Garden City and will begin at 8:00 P.M. Tickets priced at $20 for adults, $18 for seniors and students and $5 for children under 12 years of age, can be bought at the door.
