Chairlady Muriel Urban and current Vice-President Marye Heston enjoy a look at the Perennial Gardens On Friday, October 7th, the Garden Department of the Community Club of Garden City and Hempstead sponsored a tour of the Peconic River Herb Farm. The tour was followed by a delicious luncheon at the Soundview Restaurant and a talk on wine with a tasting at Bedell Cellars. A surprise stop at the farm stand gave the ladies a chance to purchase fruits and vegetables direct from the fields, as well as some beautiful pots of mums.
