The McDaid coached Thunder 10 A boys, hosted rival Franklin Square this past Sunday and came away with a dominating 47-6 victory. The win gave "THE BOYS OF THUNDER" a 7 and 1 record for the season, as they eagerly await their first round playoff opponent.
"This was a total team effort" said Coaches McDaid, Cortese, Dooley, Walsh, and Muller. All of the boys contributed to this victory on both sides of the ball.
The offense, run by QB Tim Muller and Jack Metzler, distributed the ball to running backs JJ McDaid(11 rushes, 2 TD' S') Peter Kerantzas (8 rushes), Brian Badgett (7 rushes), Ryan Dooley (4 rushes, 2 TD' S'), and Lucas Clay(4 rushes, 2 TD' S'), to keep the Franklin Square defense off balance all afternoon. Muller also connected with TE Mike Walsh for a 15 yard TD pass early in the second quarter.
