Another Thunder Victory. The Garden City eleven year old Gray team improved their record to 4-0 with an impressive win over Floral Park, 24-12.

The team displayed great blocking and tackling to shut down their division rival.

Early in the first quarter, OB Danny Muller hit TE Brendan Adams with a long pass that put the Thunder deep into Floral Park territory. Eddie Blatz scored the first touchdown of the night and Kicker Peter Alford knocked in the first of his three very impressive extra points to make the score 8-0.

After holding down the Floral Park offense, running back John Derdak broke a few runs to help set up a touchdown pass from Muller to Adams Great blcoking from Austin Menger, Pat Murphy, John Wein, Pat Tully, John Gentile, Keith Blazer and Pat Lyons led the way.

After shutting down the Floral Park offense, Fullback Chris Harder ran over three defenders to get into the end zone to make the score at halftime 24-0.

The Thunder defense was led by Jake Schlapp, Billy Connors, Mike Lyons, Peter D’Antonio, Zach Westermann and Matt Cotter.
