Chamber St. Fair & Homecoming Parade This Saturday
Seventh Street Cafe will be among the numerous restaurants and food establishments offering their specialties at the Street Fair. Pictured are Fran Nelson, manager and Business Person of the Year and Dr. Anthony Libertella, president of the Chamber of Commerce with Seventh Street Cafe staffers at last year's event. Fabulous food and sidewalk sales ... two trackless trains, moon bounce, rides, carnival games and face painting for the kids, plus the Village Music Makers big band and karaoke -- all will be part of the festivities at the Garden City Chamber of Commerce's 27th annual Fall Festival Street Fair this Saturday, October 29 from 9:30-3 p.m. Add to these activities Garden City High School's Homecoming Day Parade to step off at 12:30, plus the 9th annual "Art Gallery" at the Dougall Frazer Real Estate office at 102 Seventh Street showcasing the artwork of talented Garden City High School students. Seventh Street will be closed to vehicular traffic between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Seventh Street and a section of Franklin Avenue has been festively decorated with corn stalks donated by 64 Chamber members noted on posters appearing in 13 Village kiosks and in various areas around the Village. Come on down to Seventh Street this Saturday and hear Bert Donley, musical emcee touting out the various activities. Tickets to the rides and activities for the kids may be purchased at the Chamber booth in front of 120 Seventh Street, north side. See you there!
