A nominating committee for the selection of candidates for a two-year term as Village Trustee was selected at the September 14th General Membership meeting of the WPOA. The deadline for applications is C.O.B. November 21, 2005.

Any resident of the Western Section who is interested in filling the position is urged to mail a letter of interest and a resume, which may include community activities, to the WPOA Secretary, Mr. John Ardito, 122 Wilson Street, Garden City, NY 11530 before the deadline. Letters of interest including resumes may also be sent to Mr. Ardito,( WPOA, P.O. Box 7976, Garden City, NY 11530.

The members of the nominating committee are: Paul Muscarella, Chairman Pro-Tem, Robert Alvey, Helen Carss, Germaine Greco, Thomas Nastasi, Gloria Weinrich, Thomas Whalen, Carol Whalen and Bruce Wildermuth.

The Western Section of Garden City is bordered on the north by the main line of the LIRR, on the east by the west side of Tanners Pond and Edgemere Roads, on the south by Cambridge Avenue and on the west by Jefferson Street.
