Between October 18 and 19, someone took $10 in U.S. currency from a car parked on Mayfair Avenue... On October 19, a truck stop was held on Clinton Road. 15 trucks were inspected with 9 trucks taken out of service and 56 tickets issued... On October 15, a 26-year-old Woodside woman allegedly took a scarf, two sweaters and a pair of jeans at Lord and Taylor... On the same day, another woman - a 19-year-old from Franklin Square allegedly stole 3 costume necklaces at Lord and Taylor...On October 21, a 22-year-old Merrick woman allegedly stole assorted clothing including a pair of Lord and Taylor gloves, a BCBG skirt and a BCBG shirt, at Lord and Taylor...PO Hickey arrested a 24-year-old Floral Park woman for alleged DWI (.15%) on Stewart Avenue, on October 21... On October 22, 4 youths from Garden City were caught climbing a fire escape at the Seventh Street Apartments and 1 youth was issued an appearance ticket for the possession of beer... Between October 19 and 20, someone took a $900 laptop computer from a car parked on Seventh Street... Between October 22 and 23, a $100 cell phone was taken from an unlocked car parked in a driveway on Meadow Street...On October 24, a 26-year-old St. Albans woman allegedly took $240 in merchandise at Lord and Taylor, which included an $178 BCBG tank top...

On October 19, there was an unintentional activation of an alarm due to workmen spraying kitchen cabinets at a Chester Avenue house...On October 20, biosolve and a booster removed a coolant spill at St. James Street South/Washington Avenue... A loud pop occurred at CVS Pharmacy, Franklin Avenue on October 21 and a main feeder conduit was found to be having a problem there. LIPA was notified... Mechanical ventilation was used to dissipate carbon monoxide from a boiler at an Oxford Blvd. house on October 21...The FD shut off an oil burner at a Roosevelt St. residence on October 23...A balloon stuck in a ceiling space heater melted when the heater was turned on causing alarm at the Field House, Stewart Avenue, on October 24... An oil burner blow back occurred at a Wyatt Rd. house on October 24... LIPA was notified when a large tree came down in the rear yard of a Westbury Rd. residence on October 25... Speedidry was used to remove antifreeze from Nassau Blvd./Stewart Ave. on October 26... A water leak occurred at a Kensington Rd. house on October 26...
