The Garden City Police announce the arrest of Kevin Cloherty for felony stalking.

A 25 year male reports that the subject (Cloherty), who has been arrested numerous times in the past for sexually related offenses, has been following him, sending letters and making phone calls offering to perform sexual acts in return for money.

On October 18th the subject located the victim on the street and followed him until the victim ran into a Blimpies food store. The victim called the Garden City Police for assistance and then left the location and tried numerous times to run from the subject. He managed to lose him near the Sears Department Store on Franklin Avenue where he met up with responding Police officers.

The victim went with the officers to the Police Station to file a complaint. Sometime later, while canvassing the area, officers located Kevin Cloherty and placed him under arrest. He was transported to the Garden City Police Station house and charged with Felony Stalking because of a prior conviction for stalking.
