The Garden City Hotel was evacuated Thursday afternoon after a man entered the hotel and poured an unknown fluid on the floor of the hotel. According to witnesses, a masked man entered the ballroom and poured liquid from a bottle onto the floor of the rotunda. He then fled the scene. After the man fled the scene, police, fire and hazardous material crews were dispatched to investigate. The hotel was evacuated of all guests and staff as a precaution.
