Trio Solisti, Adelphi University's internationally recognized Ensemble-in-Residence, returns to campus for a fourth year of outstanding chamber music. This year's Prestige Concert Series will begin with a performance featuring guest flutist Linda Chesis, on Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. in the Ruth S. Trio Solisti's permanent members include violinist Maria Bachmann, cellist Alexis Pia Gerlach, and pianist Jon Klibonoff. The members of Trio Solisti have performed throughout the United States and in 23 countries around the globe. All three members have been frequent guests of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and have collaborated on performances with some of the finest musicians in the world.
In 2004, Trio Solisti made debut performances at Kennedy Center's Terrace Theater, in Lincoln Center's Great Performers Series at The Walter Reade Theater, and at The Tuscan Sun Festival in Cortona, Italy. In addition, the ensemble's performance of Adelphi University Music Department Chair Paul Moravec's Pulitzer Prize composition, "Tempest Fantasy," was featured on National Public Radio's Performance Today.
