Home Inspector Tips Off Retired Men
Planning to spruce up the basement? Make sure it's not leaking or it may cost you heavily when you are forced to retrofit some sort of water removal system. That tip and more was the focus of a talk heard by the Garden City Retired Men's Club at their weekly Monday meeting.
The presentation by Anthony Annunziato P.E. covered the practices and ethics of home inspectors attempting to give home buyers and owners a picture of the condition of their homes.
Mr. Annunziato, a Garden City resident, spoke for 20 minutes and then answered a host of questions from Club members.
The Club also set Wednesday, Dec 14 as the Christmas Party date. The event will take place at the Stewart Manor Country Club. The entree for this five-course meal will include a choice of either Prime Rib of Beef (English Cut) or Chicken in a Lemon-Butter and White Wine sauce or Oven Poached Fresh Salmon with a dill sauce.
This famous repast will begin with a Fresh Citrus Fruit Cup followed by the second dish, Penne a la Vodka. The third course is a Green Salad followed by the entree and closing out the feast will be a Chocolate Mousse.
During the entire luncheon there will be an open bar offering first line liquors, wines beer and sodas. Members and resident retired men are urged to make reservations early to this popular affair.
