Tom Pohmer, Chairman of the Garden City Estates Nominating Committee, announced that the committee is currently soliciting applications for an open Garden City village trustee position, which has a two-year term from April 2006 through to April 2008. The nominating committee is also soliciting applications for an open Garden City school board trustee position, which has a three-year term from May 2006 through to May 2009.

The candidate must be a resident of the Estates section of Garden City. Those interested in being considered should send resumes to Thomas Pohmer, 159 Brompton Road, Garden City, New York 11530 no later than November 6, 2005.

Members of the nominating committee include William Eckel, Chris Gallic, Michael Holland, Martha Kearney, Jeff Minett, George Pappas, John Repetti, Alfred Russo, Gregory Senken, John Skramko, Joan Strong, Manny Velez, Paul Van Valkenburg, and Chris Vecchiarelli.
