The Strikers scored in the second half for a 1-0 lead when Gabby Zafonte sent the ball into the offensive zone that was corralled by Jenna Fuchs. Jenna made a pass to Liz Stutzmann who one-timed it into the net for the goal.

North Shore got the equalizer midway through the second half on a shot that barely trickled across the goal line.

The Strikers received stellar efforts from Maggie Comiskey on the field in the first half and in goal in the second half, as well as Kimberly Ryan, Kathleen Galgano and Tara Mahon.

Special thanks to coach Bill Metzler for his dedication, leadership and his knowledge of the game which is being imparted to the team.

The Strikers will take part in the Windsor Columbus Day Weekend tournament this weekend in Connecticut.
