Change that headline from "Andy Cooney's Coming to Town!" to "Andy Cooney's Marching Back Stage!" Hey, we're only kidding! Please read on.

Cooney, the Irish singing sensation, as readers learned recently in the Garden City News, will be heading a cast of all-star performers in a fast-paced two-hour show, "A Classic Irish Christmas," to be held at St. Anne's McCloskey Auditorium at 8 P.M. on Friday evening, Dec. 2.

He made his debut here as a late teen performer with the famed Paddy Noonan Band. And he returned recently to review exciting promotional plans for the show with Msgr. John's Knights Grand Knight Bob Guida and Event Chairman James "Jay" Lynch.

While here he also heard a combination Knights marching song and up-beat jingle created by two local Knights--St. Anne's Music Director and talented vocalist Tim Brown and retired Ad/Promotion Exec and lyricist Dan Burns.

The impact and memorability of the song, "Join in the Fun of Helping Others," have prompted the Knights to name the evening, "Helping Others Night." The benefit, also marking the 10th Anniversary of the Knights at St. Anne's, is aimed at funding Catholic high school scholarship grants to St. Anne's School graduates among other Knights' charities.

Cooney loves marches and jingles. So he decided, tongue-in-cheek, that he and his performers will alternately "set up and march in place" behind the stage screen for five-minutes while the recording is introduced in pre-show ceremonies to the expected large turnout. Irish shows traditionally packed
