Garden City golfers joined many other supporters of Planned Parenthood of Nassau County at its third annual Golf Classic at the Hamlet Golf and County Club in Commack. He event raised money to help support PPNC's wide variety of services. Although PPNC got its start offering birth control services, it has expanded into a comprehensive provider of health care services and educational programs. Planned Parenthoods clinical programs at its health centers in Hempstead, Glen Cove and Massapequa include: comprehensive family planning, pre-natal and primary care, testing and screening for breast, cervical and testicular cancers as well as for sexually-transmitted infections, and referrals for adoption services.
