Kordes To Speak At Library
The Friends of the Library are happy to announce the appearance of John Ellis Kordes at the Garden City Library on Monday evening, October 9th at 7:30 p.m. in the large downstairs meeting room.
Mr. Kordes, a professional photographer and Village Historian, will present a program entitled Garden City - Past and Present. The past will be shown by excerpts from the documentary film A.T. Stewart’s Garden City which Mr. Kordes produced in 1994. The present will be represented by Visions of Garden City, Mr. Kordes’ recently published coffee table book which contains over 150 new photographs.
Autographed copies of the DVD or videocassette or book will be available for $39.95. This is a good way to get a head start on the holiday shopping season. The DVD/VHS and/or book are perfect gifts for friends who have relocated out of Garden City. Out of town college students will delight in showing the DVD to their dorm mates.
Mr. Kordes promises to reveal new information about A. T. Stewart never before published.
