Registration for storytimes and book discussions began on September 6. Please check with a Children's Librarian for availability.

Although September is Library Card sign-up month, you can get a library card for your child anytime. At the Garden City Public Library there is no age requirement for children to obtain a library card. Parents should bring in their own library card or some other proof of residency to the Circulation desk to sign up their children. Remember, having fun isn't hard when you have a library card!

On October 15, there will be a craft program ("Spooky Ghost Candy Holder") for Garden City residents, ages 2 1/2 - 5 (No Kindergarten) with an adult, at either 10:00 AM or 11:30 AM. Registration will begin when the library opens at 9:00 AM on October 8.

On October 15, there will be a craft program ("Free Standing Cat Sculpture") for Garden City residents in Grades K-2 at 1:00 PM and for Garden City residents in Grades 3-5

at 2:30 PM. Registration will begin when the library opens at 9:00 AM on October 8.

Please check the library website www.nassaulibrary.org/gardenc/ for upcoming events and registration dates. Funding for these programs has been provided by the Friends of the Garden City Public Library. Priority for registration and participation is given to children who are Garden City Public Library cardholders.
