The Garden City Republican Club is holding its annual Candidates Night, on Wednesday, October 12, 2005, at 8:00p.m. This is an open forum for all residents and friends to meet the candidates running for public office. Club President, Joe Giacinto stated, "As a Garden City civic organization, our Club has always strived to increase the communication between our current and prospective government representatives. We wish to assist every resident in learning more about the candidates, their positions, and the salient topics affecting us all locally, regionally, and nationally."

The annual Candidates Night is a general public meeting, which has always attracted a large group of residents' egger to learn more about what is going on within our government. "It is imperative that we learn all of the facts, as each of us strive to make informed decisions. These judgments will affect us today, tomorrow, and well into the future. Our Club is here to assist in this endeavor," said President Giacinto.
