Author David Callahan To Speak On "The Cheating Culture" AtAdelphi University
Adelphi University welcomes acclaimed author David Callahan to discuss his recent book, The Cheating Culture: Why More Americans Are Doing Wrong to Get Ahead, on Monday, October 10, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. in the Ruth S. Harley University Center Ballroom, 1 South Avenue, Garden City, NY. This event is free and open to the public.
David Callahan has written extensively about American history, business, and public policy. Hailed by the Los Angeles Times as a "breathtaking book," The Cheating Culture presents a provocative argument about why it has become harder to live with integrity in American society today. In addition to his six books, Dr. Callahan is the author of numerous articles appearing in publications such as the New York Times, the Washington Post, USA Today, and the American Prospect. He has been a guest on a variety of television and radio talk shows, and lectures frequently on issues of ethics and integrity to universities, associations, and businesses.
In 1999, Dr. Callahan founded Demos, the New York City-based public policy think tank. Demos combines research and advocacy, working to strengthen democracy and expand economic opportunity within the United States. Dr. Callahan holds a B.A. from Hampshire College and a Ph.D. in politics from Princeton University.
