On September 26, 4 :34 p.m., Police officer Stolz arrested a motorist who had a fictitious inspection sticker and a forged social security card. The charge was 2 counts of the possession of a forged instrument... PO Wedra stopped an 18-year-old Elmhurst man for the possession of marijuana and numerous other VTLs on Tannerspond Rd. on September 24, 3:25 a.m...
PO Oswald arrested a 38-year-old Hempstead man for alleged DWI (.12%) at Meadow Street on September 26, 4:20 a.m...On September 21, 5 p.m., a 23-year-old Forest Hills woman was arrested for allegedly stealing over $2300 in items at Lord and Taylor. Merchandise mostly consisted of women's wear with the Context label...On September 24, 4:15 a.m., PO Oswald stopped a car for impeding traffic at Meadow St./Clinton Rd. and he arrested a 36-year-old Hempstead man for alleged DWI ( refusal)... On that same day, at 10 a.m., police arrested a Sears employee, a 38-year-old Long Beach woman, who allegedly had received a little over $306 from a customer and pocketed it... On September 22, Detective Pedone arrested a 47-year-old Garden City woman who allegedly bought beer at a Mineola establishment and then gave the beer to her son and his friends, all of whom were only 15 years old. The woman was charged with 6 counts of endangering the welfare of a child and for 5 counts of unlawful dealing with a child... On September 21, police conducted a probation stop at County Field 14, in connection with the MADD Victim Impact Panel meeting mandated either by a judge or as a condition of probation for DWI offenders. There were 15 arrests; 12 for aggravated unlicensed operation and the other three were as follows: suspended license first degree; a felony federal warrant for fraud and for the possession of counterfeit money and another for the possession of marijuana... Someone stole the emblem from a Saab parked at the Merillon Ave. RR station on September 19... Between September 21 and 22, someone damaged 2 cars parked at a driveway on Somerset Avenue. One car's window was shattered and the other car's wipers were damaged... PO Hickey arrested a 26-year-old Kings Park woman who was allegedly DWI (.23%) near Adelphi University on September 22 at 4:06 a.m... A truck stop was conducted on September 21, at Clinton Rd; there were 17 trucks inspected with 67 tickets issued; 17 tickets for weight violations and 4 trucks were taken out of service... A husband violated an order of protection by visiting a Garden City residence and was arrested on September 21 by PO Florio...
