Garden City Artist To Exhibit Work
Local artist Rose Pellicano will have two of her botanical paintings exhibited in the American Society of Botanical Artists International Exhibition ‘Fresh Cut’ at the Weisman Museum of Art in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her painting of a Pomegranate was chosen for the invitation to the exhibition as well as the cover for the catalog. The exhibition will take place from June 25 through October 9.
Rose Pellicano teaches Botanical Painting and Watercolor at the Community Club of Garden City as well at Old Westbury Gardens. She is a member of the Florilegium Society of the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens. Her work has been included in many prestigious exhibitions of botanical art and is included in the permanent collection of the Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh as well as in the Florilegium Society of the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens. She is represented by Susan Frei Nathan Fine Works on Paper.
