Rose-Mary H. Bartul passed away on May 28, 2005 from Alzheimer’s disease. Devoted wife of John. Loving mother of Jacqueline and Michael. Beloved grandmother of Samantha, Kyle, Jessica, Lauren and Ava. Loving mother-in-law of Kristina and Jeffrey. She was a former Chairwoman of the English Department of Jericho High School. A career teacher of English at Wheatley High School, East Williston and a published poet. She was born in Lewiston, Maine on February 25, 1935 to Michael J. and Marie-Rose (nee Rocheleau) Hagerty. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on June 1, 2005 at St. Paul The Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Brookville, NY. Interment was at Mount Hope Cemetery in Lewiston, Maine. The family was cared for by the Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home, New Hyde Park, NY.
