The third grade students worked independently and/or in teams to prepare a variety of projects ranging from experiments and models to inventions and demonstrations. The children displayed their research projects and answered questions for their peers during the school day and invited parents and the community in the evening.

Under the direction of John W. Cronin, science consultant, and classroom teachers, students selected topics related to the eight units of study: the human body, weather, plants and animals, forces and machines, the solar system, energy, matter and Earth Science. Stratford School principal Diane Hopkins happily noted the strong coordination between the science topics and the district curriculum, which helps students better understand the subject matter. The entire Stratford School community is very proud of the third graders and all their hard work!
