Paul Christian Ludwig
Paul Christian Ludwig, age 86, of Lighthouse Point, Florida, formerly of Garden City, died Friday, April 8, 2005. He was born January 10, 1919 in Brooklyn, NY, only child of Paul and Marie Ludwig. His father, a restaurateur, moved family and business to Jamaica, Queens in 1921. He attended New York University, Fordham Law School, and Brooklyn Law School. He was admitted 2nd Judicial Department in March 1943. He was associate and later partner of Austin & DuPont in Jamaica, NY and Mineola, NY. He retired in December 1985. He was active in Salvation Army and Masonic organizations; member of Reliance Lodge, F & A.M., Scottish Rite Bodies, Rockville Centre, NY; Life Member, Hospital Advisory Committee, Booth Memorial Medical Center, Queens County.
He is survived by his three daughters, Melanie Panzigrau and husband, Jerry, of New Kensington, PA; Pamela Jackson and husband, Howard, of Shelter Island, NY; and Cindy Ludwig Johnson and husband, Peter, of Baltimore, MD; their mother, Lillian Ludwig of Riverhead, NY; and grandson, Timothy Panzigrau.
He is also survived by his wife, Constance of Lighthouse Point, FL.; stepsons, Spencer Ritchie and Paul Stephen Ritchie; and grandchildren, Katherine Ritchie, Elizabeth Ritchie, Christopher Ritchie, and Constance Ritchie.
Funeral service was held at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, Pompano Beach, FL. on April 13, 2005. Burial followed at Forest Lawn North Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Donald E. Vacheron
Donald E. Vacheron age 72, of Stamford, Connecticut, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family, on May 19th after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born August 19, 1932 in Jamaica, New York, he was the son of Martha Pessolano Vacheron and the late Edwin F. Vacheron, formerly of Garden City, New York. A 1954 graduate of Mount St. Mary’s College in Emmitsburg, Maryland, Mr. Vacheron spent his career with IBM and Control Data and retired in 1990 as President of Control Data Business Centers in Greenwich CT. He served as past President of Woodway Country Club in Darien, CT. and was active in several golf organizations. He was a founding member of the Emmaus Community in Stamford - a nonterritorial Catholic parish established in 1972. Mr. Vacheron had been active with several local charities, most recently as the first Chairman of the Board of First Tee of Connecticut - created in 1999 to teach life skills to underprivileged children through the game of golf.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Vacheron is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jaqueline Butler Vacheron, their four children - Thomas E. Vacheron of Fairfield, Peter D. Vacheron of Foxboro, MA., Margot V. Griffin of Norwalk and Karen V. Alexander of Newtown, and their 11 grandchildren. He is survived also by his brother, David L. Vacheron of Canaan, New York.
A funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, May 23 at 11 a.m. at St. Maurice’s Church, 358 Glenbrook Road, Stamford.
