on may 4, a 37-year-old Hempstead woman allegedly took $407 in merchandise, mostly “Little Me” children’s outfits, at Lord and Taylor Franklin Avenue.... on may 6, someone punctured tires on a 2002 Chevrolet parked at Field 7N in Garden City. Value was $150.... on april 27, someone stole a $345 12-speed 2003 Specialist bicycle at the Nassau Blvd. Railroad station.... on may 4, po stolz stopped a 43-year-old Elmont man for aggravated unlicensed operation 2 nd degree (12 suspensions, 4 dates) and for numerous other traffic violations at Franklin Avenue, after the motorists car was observed without a front license plate.... a 40-year-old Hempstead woman allegedly stole $404 in clothing items at Lord and Taylor, Franklin Avenue, on May 4.... po hickey arrested a 20-year-old Danbury, Connecticut woman for alleged DWI (.15%) unsafe lane change and the failure to signal at Stewart Avenue on May 6.... on may 8, 7:27 pm, PO Hickey arrested a 21-year-old Elmont man for alleged DWI (.21%) on Franklin Avenue.... between may 7 and 9, someone stole a “Welcome” sign at Nassau Haven Park. It was also reported that someone had also broken a tennis net pole valued at $100 at some time previously.... on may 9, a truck stop was conducted on Clinton Rd. 11 trucks were inspected; with 9 trucks taken out of service and 60 tickets issued. There were 6 weight violations.

on may 4, dust caused alarm at BOCES, Clinton Rd.... another malfunctioning alarm sounded at GC Plaza on May 6.... the fd made wires safe and used bio-solve to clean a coolant spill at the scene of an accident where a car had struck a lightpole at Wilson St./Stewart Avenue on May 7.... a possible carbon monoxide report occurred at a Fifth Street house on May 7. Nothing was found.... a fire extinguisher put out a car fire on Franklin Avenue on May 9....That’s all this week. G.T.
