The GC Rams huddleThe GC Rams huddle On Sunday, April 10, the Garden City 4th grade boys Rams Lacrosse "Team White" played a hard fought game against the Half Hollow Hills. The Rams ended up on the short side of a 10-8 game. The game had end to end action with great defense provided by Alex Kelly, Dan Jones, Thomas Holbrook, Connor Marrone and Timmy Eschmann. In the 1st half of the game both teams exchanged goal after goal. In the 2nd half Garden City saw their 1 goal lead turn into a 4 goal deficit, but showed the competitive side of this team to come back and narrow the deficit to 2. All game long Half Hollow Hills had to give it a great effort to get the ball past goaltenders Christopher Thomas and Greg Bolte. The attack played a great game as well and really provided tremendous ball movement. Nick Croce, William White, Corey Fitzpatrick, Steve Ollquist and Tim Confort made the most of every opportunity when the ball came into our offensive end. The middies controlled and won almost every face-off as Matty Schmelzinger and Brian Pratt dictated the path of the ball to wing men, Matt Leto, Kyle Walsh, Brian Heinz and Sean Digan. The team looks forward to the day when Ryan Costigan comes off the disabled list. The next game is this Sunday, away at West Islip, 11:30. Go Rams!
