Soccer Fall Champions, Team USA, opened the Spring 2005 season with a 0-0 tie against Norway. Forwards, Devon Schay, Brigid Reina and Sarah DeSantis kept Norway very busy as they looked for the breakaway and open shot for a goal. Midfielders, Adriana Cella, Colleen Way, Abby Eschmann, Diana Gillette, Kristin Vecchiarelli and Kathleen O'Malley were very determined to help the forwards score a goal and prevent our defense of Sara Vila, Michelle Finneran and Jane Furey just as busy but were up to the challenge. Aileen Quattlander played goalie in the first half and Brigid Reina in the second half; both did a great job of preventing any shots from Norway from scoring. Team USA Coach, Eric M. Schay and Assistant Coaches, Sandy Reina and Joseph Cella, are very pleased that all of the girls are back to play soccer and are looking again to another fun and successful season.
