The week of April 10 is Young People’s Poetry week and April is Poetry Month. Look for our display of wonderful poetry books. To celebrate, children through Grade 5 can come in and select a postcard or bookmark.

This month come and celebrate the 200 th birthday of Hans Christian Andersen. Look for his books on display.

On Tuesday, April 26, from 11 am-12 pm, there will be a Family Environment Show with Patricia Shih. Tickets will be distributed starting April 16, 2005.

Library programs are presented, free of charge, through the generosity of the Friends of the Garden City Public Library. Priority for registration and participation is given to children who are Garden City Public Library cardholders.
