GC Rams Blue ready for action. The fourth grade boys blue rams lacrosse opened the 2005 season with a dominating 8-3 win over their biggest rivals, Manhasset. The team led by coaches Gutterding, Muller, McDaid,Meltzler and Defliese, were ready for action on a cold and rainy Sunday. The midfielders, consisting of John McDaid(2 goals),Jack Metzler(2 goals),Tim Muller(1goal), Brian DeFeliese(1goal),Scott DAntonio,Spencer Bais, and Patrick Keogh set the tone by picking up every ground ball and controlling the offensive end with pinpoint passing.

The attackmen, led by Justin Guterding(1goal), Lucas Clay(1goal), Jack Metzler(2 goals), Christian Capozzi, and Peter Kerantzas, put pressure on the Manhasset defense all game.The Blue defense, led by Joe Stone, Kyle Skramko, Joe Powers, Matt Vitale, Eric Sundius, and Alex Schroeder, maintained a wall in front of goalie Matt Cortese in the three goal against defensive effort. Next Sunday's opponent, Farmingdale will be played at home at 12 noon. The blue will get an added boost with the addition of John Walczyk, who missed game one.
