GC Rams Sixth Grade Lacrosse
     The Cox, D'Antonio and Randi's sixth grade lacrosse team opened the season home hosting Rockville Centre. A physical first period set the tone for the contest. RVC delivered some big hits trying to intimidate the Rams.

Connie Mack Baseball Tryout
     There will be a tryout for the Garden City Connie Mack baseball team for the 15-16 year age group on Sunday, April 17th at the Middle School baseball field beginning at 3:00PM. In order to be eligible for this team, a player can not turn 17 prior to August 1, 2005.

     Garden City High School senior Kevin Seiferth was a member of the high school hockey all-star team that represented Nassau County in the 9th Annual Vytra Cup "Battle of Long Island," played recently in Nassau Coliseum in front of 3,500 fans.

     It was a cold and wet opening day for all the youth lacrosse teams this past Sunday. The 5th grade Rams Maroon team fought a tough defensive battle against a strong Massapequa team and came away with a victory.

Wild Weather, Wild Game Strikers vs. The Hurricanes
     Despite rain, high winds and cool temperatures, the Strikers assemble at St. Paul's Field to start the spring season opener which happened to be a Walbaum's Cup game. Their opponents were the Port Washington Hurricanes.

Shock To Play For Super League Championship
     The GCAA Shock 5th grade girls' basketball game has advanced to the Super League championship game of the Gold Division after defeating the Long Island Storm, 25-19, Monday in a semifinal game at Island Garden. The previous week, the Shock defeated St. Rose, 34-20, in the quarterfinals.
