Gladys
Lawton, a longtime resident of Garden City and Hampshire House, was recently
honored by The Friends of the Library prior to her relocation to New Hampshire.
For almost 20 years, Gladys was a volunteer at the Garden City Exchange. In
addition, she served as a "Bookworm" helping to catalogue the hundreds of books
donated by residents for the annual Friends' Book Sale. A true example of the
spirit of volunteerism that is Garden City, Gladys will be sorely
missed. |
