Community Church Forum - Islam And Christianity
The guest speaker at the Adult Forum of the Garden City Community Church this Sunday, April 10, will be former Senior Pastor, The Rev. Dr. Ralph Ahlberg. Dr. Ahlberg traveled to Singapore and Indonesia in January to participate in two international symposia on Christianity and Islam. His talk is titled: "Islam and Christianity in the 21st Century - Prospects for Understanding and Peace."
Dr. Ahlberg served at the Community Church from 1973 to 1987. He is currently writing the historical account (from 1705-present) of the Second Congregational Church of Greenwich, Connecticut.
The Forum is held in the church parlor at 9:15 a.m. and the community is invited to attend. Dr. Ahlberg will also deliver the sermon at the 10:30 a.m. worship service.
Garden City Community Church is part of the United Church of Christ. Worship services are Sundays at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., with church school for children and a crib room for infants and toddlers at the later service.
