The St. Anne's 6th grade boy's basketball team just finished a fantastic basketball season where they went 12-0 in the regular season CYO league, winning their division, and then going to the final 4 of the Nassau, Suffolk playoffs (4th round of the playoffs). 58 teams started out in the league and St. Anne's making it to the final 4 is truly a remarkable season that all the boys should be proud of.

The team had it share of ailments between broken bones, meningitis and the typical winter colds but still prevailed and truly made it a 10 man team effort to post this impressive record. Coach Bob O'Brien and Rich Clarkson kept the boys focused throughout the season, with the boys taking on their coach's calm yet determined demeanor throughout all their games.

Coach O'Brien and Coach Clarkson would like to thank Billy Allen, Brandon Badgett, Matt Clarkson, Dan and Matt Collomussi, Frank Cordio, Ryan Fitzsimmons, Matt Focella, Tommy O'Brien and James Wright for their commitment to basketball, being great teammates to each other, showing great sportsmanship to teams and referees and showing respect to their coaches.

They would also like to thank all the parents who dedicated their time, showed great support for the boys at all times and helped out when needed. Special thanks go to Vinny Clarke (St Anne's Boys basketball coordinator) and Jack Kiley (St Anne's CYO Athletic Director) for all they do for the basketball program and the parish.
