The Adult Forum at the Garden City Community Church will feature Dr. Marianne Jackson this Sunday, April 3. Dr. Jackson’s original date to speak (January 23) was canceled due to the snowstorm. Her topic is “Achieving Universal Health Care in the U.S.--the Perspective of Mental Health.” Dr. Jackson is a clinical psychologist with a private practice in Brooklyn. She was president of the New York State Psychological Association in 1999 and has just become president of their Social Issues Division.

Dr. Jackson is active in Physicians for a National Health Program, and Mental Health Care for all New Yorkers, an interdisciplinary group working for mental health parity and universal health care coverage.

The Forum is held in the church parlor at 9:15 a.m. and the community is invited to attend.

Garden City Community Church is part of the United Church of Christ.
